A real plan to end KL’s congestion nightmare".

As a frequent commute between Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam, for me this suggestion in the article from FMT is a bread and butter solution. Why is this:
1. We often talk about more metro and rail lines which cost billions and take years to build, but almost none of us thinking about the buses (especially like those provided by PRASARANA MALAYSIA BERHAD which is the most basic public transport that can be provided in only matter of months. Of course supported by dedicated lanes in major roads, with aim to bring back the roads to move people, not cars.
2. Converting underutilised office buildings and aging commercial lots into affordable housing is a good suggestion. Just add with mixed-use functions. Government entities such as PR1MA Corporation Malaysia or Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) can be appointed to lead the way.
3. As sprawling become the issue that less people to have the conversation, I think instead of overreliance towards KL, diversifying job centres along the transit lines especially LRT Shah Alam Line in several existing cities could become the alternative. The SA Sentral initiative by PKNS OFFICIAL to revitalise and densify Shah Alam city centre (Seksyen 14) which connected to the LRT station is one of the step in a good direction.
Indeed, what only need is the political will.
